The Budget staff works to enhance City Management and City Council decision-making by preparing the City of High Point Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Budget within the general statutes of the State of North Carolina.

City Clerk

Electric Utilities

The City of High Point Electric Utilities Department was founded in 1893, over 30 years before the local investor owned utilities and co-operatives in our state.

Engineering Services

The Engineering Services mission is to help create a safe and livable community by providing centralized, in-house professional engineering services to other City departments. With honesty and accessibility, we advise and inform citizens about City Policy.

The Financial Services Department maintains the City's overall financial stability through sound financial planning and management.

Fleet Services

The Fleet Services Department is responsible for providing all city departments with a fleet of equipment that is maintained in such a way as to enable them to perform their duties in a timely manner.

Geographic Information Service (GIS)

GIS is responsible for the development and administration of the City’s baseline digital spatial databases and for providing state-of-the-art mapping and data services to City departments, citizens, local governments, and businesses.

Theatre

The High Point Theatre is located within the International Home Furnishings Center at the corner of East Commerce Avenue and South Hamilton Street, the heart of downtown High Point. It is one of the finest stage and gallery spaces in the Southeast.
