Human Relations Humanitarian Award

Nomination of citizens for the HUMAN RELATIONS HUMANITARIAN AWARD shall be evaluated by the HRC based on the following criteria:

  • The nominee’s contributions made during the previous year(s) that benefited traditionally underrepresented individuals and diverse groups.
  • The nominee’s promotion of equity through his/her work with their employer, faith-based institution, civic group(s), and/or community organizations.
  • The nominee is committed to promoting understanding, respect, equity and goodwill among all citizens.

The High Point Human Relations Commission Humanitarian Award was created to honor a High Point citizen who, during his or her lifetime, has made a significant contribution to human relations in High Point. The award will be presented during the City’s Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration.   

List of previous award recipients; individuals recognized within the past five years are ineligible.
