The purpose of the Small Builders Incentive Program (Program) is to promote more homeownership as well as improve existing housing stock in areas of greatest need. Builders can receive reimbursement of up to $15,000 for specific development costs when the home receives a Certificate of Occupancy (C/O). The reimbursement will be provided in the form of a deferred loan that will be forgiven once the house is sold.
Eligible homebuyers can receive $7,500 in homebuyer assistance via the City’s Core City Homebuyer Incentive Program to reduce down payment and closing costs expenses (additional requirements may be involved based on the funding source).
