Burns Hill

Background
In April 2006, the R.C. Baldwin Neighborhood Association was organized because 6 dedicated residents became fed up with the quality of life in their community. They got together to share their ideas, thoughts and feelings. They have since worked tirelessly together to make their neighborhood a better place to live, and in June 2006 the name was changed to Burns Hill Neighborhood Association at the urging of some members, giving the Association more of a neighborhood feel rather than being limited to just one street.
Mission
The mission of the Burns Hill Neighborhood Association is to create a "new thinking" by which its residents will achieve greater self-sufficiency, enhancing the livability of the neighborhood by incorporating, creating and expanding our focus on educational, spiritual and economic development. Establishing and maintaining an open line of communication and liaison among our neighborhood, government agencies and other neighborhoods is critical, providing a process by which all members of the neighborhood may involve themselves in neighborhood affairs.
Themes & Motivation
The Burns Hill Neighborhood Association anthem is “ A Change Is Going To Come.” Its motto is “The worst thing we can do is stand by and do nothing," and its theme song is “Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now."
