Red Box Rental

For Residential Use Only


For major clean-up projects, you may rent a red box for $150.  This fee is non-refundable. The size of the Red Box is 4 x 8 x 14 for a total of 448 cubic feet. We will deliver the red box. You load it. We will haul it away. Materials may not be mixed (all garbage or all yard waste).


 Violations may result in the customer unloading the box, removal of improper material(s), additional fees for multiple dumps, and/or fines


Do not put these in the red box:

  • Contractor's waste
  • Demolition debris
  • Hazardous wastes (such as car batteries)
  • Large stumps
  • Liquid waste
  • Medical waste (such as needles)
  • Rocks, bricks, or dirt
  • Roofing
  • Tires
  • Electronics (Televisions, Radios, DVR's, VCR's etc...)
Red Box for Rent

What can go in the red box:

  • Household items and general trash
  • Limbs and yard waste
  • Certain building materials (shingles, wood installation, and siding) ***

Customers are allowed to put a small amount of building material in the rental Red Box, such as a few shingles left behind from construction or wood from the replacement of a kitchen or bathroom cabinet, a toilet or decking boards, provided the customer is doing the work and not the contractor.

By rental of the Red Box through the City of High Point, renter is agreeing to hold the City of High Point harmless from any and all liabilities, damages, costs, fees or expense to any roadway, driveway, yard, and/or turnaround, and general property that may occur in the performance of these duties.
