  • Hours of required training to maintain certifications
  • Station and apparatus maintenance

New Engines

In July 2005, Engine 12 (formerly Engine 18) and Engine 26 were officially added to our fleet. Although these Engines were in service at Stations No. 12 and No. 26, they were actually a part of Deep River and Colfax Fire Departments respectively. For several years we have shared facilities and productive partnerships.

Deep River

Along with Engine 12, Deep River Fire Department turned over all other equipment and its fire protection responsibilities to High Point Fire Department. We extend a special thanks to all the firefighters that selflessly served the Deep River Fire Protection District for many years.

Colfax

Colfax Fire Department also turned over Station 26 and its service area to High Point Fire Department in July 2005. Our continued partnership with Colfax Fire Department has proven to be beneficial to both communities.

Partnerships

As you can see from our partnerships, firefighters have no problem working alongside personnel from other jurisdictions. The Horneytown, Hasty, Guil-Rand and Pinecroft-Sedgefield Fire Departments, all adjoining neighbors, have also agreed to assist us in areas that are closer to their stations, as we have them. Fire Departments have always had mutual aid agreements to assist each other when needed, but our communities have taken mutual aid to another level in the form of automatic aid. You can rest assured that firefighters are ready to assist regardless of jurisdictional boundaries. Don't be alarmed if you see firefighters other than those wearing the High Point uniforms respond to emergency calls. It is our commitment to this community to provide the best level of fire service and response possible.
