[ARCHIVED] Variety of Events Planned for the High Point Public Library Plaza

  • On Thursday, October 4, will be the Ilderton's Harvest Fest from 6 pm to 9 pm. It will feature food trucks, artist and vendor stalls, children's area (5 pm to 8 pm) and music by The Mighty Fairlanes. General admission tickets are $10 and kids under 18 get in free and all proceeds benefit Open Door Ministries.
  • Eric and the Chill Tones will be the entertainment for First Friday (October 5) and will be performing from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This event will include some of the High Point Farmers Market produce and craft vendors along with food trucks, beer garden and children's activities. This event is free and open to all ages.
  • Then Saturday, October 6 the High Point Farmers Market will hold its weekly market featuring local, fresh produce, crafts and baked goods from 8:30 am to 1 pm. At 5 pm Shared Radiance Performing Arts Company will be performing Shakespeare's "As You Like It" throughout the building and the plaza. Be prepared to move from space to space and become a part of the mingling of Shakespeare's world and the music, styles and vibe of the late 1960s counter culture movement. The performance is produced by Shared Radiance Performing Arts Company and directed by Sherri Raeford. Admission is free and it is open to the public. This event is sponsored by the High Point Friends of the Library.
