Let's talk movies! In January, the High Point Public Library is starting a movie discussion group called "That's a Wrap Film Club." Like a book club, we pick a new movie each month to watch on our own time, then get together at the Library to discuss it. (No film expertise required.) If you're curious and want to know more, we'll host an interest meeting on Monday, January 7, at 6:30 pm, in the 3rd floor Book Lovers Room .
If you're ready to jump right in, our first discussion will also be in the third floor Book Lovers Room on Monday, January 28, at 6:30 pm, where we'll talk about "The Third Man" (1949; dir. Carol Reed). One copy of the movie is available for checkout now at the Library, and the movie can also be digitally rented from most online purveyors or as part of a Netflix subscription.
