Message from Director

We're still here! We are so appreciative of the outpouring of support shown by our community in the past month.  Our Museum was founded by High Pointers for High Pointers more than 50 years ago. Since that time our community has donated millions of private dollars, approximately 40,000 priceless artifacts, and countless hours of volunteer service to ensure our local history will be preserved and shared for generations to come.

We are pleased to be able to continue that work, even in an uncertain time. We still have a lot to figure out with a reduced staff and no clear
re-opening date. We are learning and experimenting with new technologies to help bring High Point history to you remotely while simultaneously developing safety and social distancing measures for an eventual re-opening of our building. We are excited about trying some new things and imagining a new future for our institution. There will be a number of ways you can get involved, and we'll be sharing some volunteer opportunities with you as it becomes safe to bring people into the Museum again. In the meantime we hope to continue connecting with you virtually through our online resources and social media.

Thank you again for your loyal support!
