Eastchester Drive and I-74 Land Use Assessment Planning and Zoning Commission Public Hearing Scheduled
The City of High Point Planning and Development Department conducted a study of the new Eastchester and I-74 interchange. The interchange is being expanded to alleviate congestion along Eastchester and on the exit ramps of I-74. The expansion includes the addition of exit loops and the elimination of left turns on the Eastchester overpass. A public meeting was held on November 17, 2020 to get public feedback. The public hearing draft is available for review on the city's website at

A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 6 p.m. before the Planning and Zoning Commission. The agenda will be available on the City of High Point's website on Wednesday, February 17 by 12:00 p.m. at
https://www.highpointnc.gov/pzagenda.
As part of the City of High Point's COVID-19 mitigation efforts, the Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a remote public hearing and in-person public attendance will not be allowed at this meeting. We request that you include the name of the land use assessment with your comment so it can be applied to the correct public hearing item. Public comments are being accepted now and will be until 24 hours after the close of the public hearing.
