Spring Cleaning in the Historical Park

Saturday, April 15, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Join our historical park interpreters as they freshen up the mattresses, scrub the floors and tidy the Hoggatt House in preparation for the summer months! FREE. All ages welcome. Drop in.

The HP Historical Society presents: High Point from Nainsook Underwear to "Hosiery Capital of the South"

Wednesday, April 19, 10 a.m.
The whole world knows that High Point is the place for furniture, but did you know that High Point was also home of some of the oldest factories of the finest nainsook underwear, and a huge silk mill? The High Point Historical Society will host Dr. Doris H. Kincade and Dr. Elizabeth H. Dull as they discuss NC textiles and apparel and the history of these industries. This event is FREE and open to the public.

Fields & Feathers: Hunting at Deep River Lodge, 1895-1935 

Exhibition Opening

Friday, April 28
Hunting lodges were a turn of the 20th Century phenomenon in the Piedmont that have long since been forgotten. This exhibit features photos and artifacts from Deep River Lodge, which was an exceptional example of these Piedmont retreats. Open through the end of January, 2024. FREE. All ages welcome.

Let’s Craft! Rainsticks in LIttle Red Schoolhouse

Saturday. April 29, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Want to have the power to bring a rainstorm to your house? Come make your own sensory rainstick to hear the rain whenever you want! Free. Drop in. All ages welcome.
