Fields & Feathers: Hunting at Deep River Lodge, 1895-1935Open TOMORROW through Jan. 31, 2024Hunting lodges were a turn of the 20th Century phenomenon in the Piedmont that have long since been forgotten. This exhibit features photos and artifacts from Deep River Lodge, which was an exceptional example of these Piedmont retreats.

Celebrating our VolunteersLast week, the Museum celebrated National Volunteer Week with a luncheon for all of our amazing volunteers.
Are you interested in learning more about High Point's history? Would you like to give tours of historic buildings, lead hands-on activities, or simply become more involved with our community? Then the High Point Museum is the place to be. The Museum is now recruiting volunteers. New docent training will be held this summer on the following Mondays: June 5, 12, and 26 and July 10, 17 and 24 from 10 a.m. - noon. If you are interested in becoming a High Point Museum docent, please fill out a Volunteer Application found at highpointnc.gov/825/Volunteers-Internships The Museum is still offering virtual volunteering opportunities with From the Page. The Not-So-Golden Life of the Gilded Age Wife Virtual ProgramThursday, May 25, 5:30 p.m. Although Gilded Age women in the upper and lower classes had many differences, they had one similarity. Women, viewed as second best to men, were expected to be content with this role in society.
