On Saturday January 14, 2017, the City of High Point Human Relations Commission shall recognize an individual for contributions made during the 2016 year that benefited traditionally oppressed individuals or groups, including, but not limited to racial and ethnic minorities, females, and the socially and economically disadvantaged of High Point NC.

If you know of someone who made a significant difference in the lives of the citizens of High Point during the 2016 year, please submit their names for recognition and consideration for this award.

Online nomination forms can be found at https://www.highpointnc.gov/1849/Human-Relations-Humanitarian-Award . The award will be presented at the annual Human Relations MLK Day Celebration in partnership with the Chavis YMCA following the parade. The parade will end at the Radisson Hotel at 135 S Main St, High Point, NC where everyone is welcomed to view the presentation as well as other performances from local groups.
