Discover how early American settlers turned natural fibers into clothes and household décor. Try your hand at carding wool and watch our costumed interpreter spin it into thread. Learn how to create your own sewing sampler or weave a rug.  All ages welcome. Drop-in. FREE

Arts Splash Concert Featuring Vaden Landers

The High Point Arts Council summer outdoor concert series held at the Museum features Vaden Landers is a true folk artist that focuses primarily on old-time and country blues music. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic dinners. No alcoholic beverages permitted. If there is a threat of rain, call 336.889.ARTS after 4 p.m. on Sunday to get the latest update on the event.

Local Historian Glenn Chavis will offer a guided walking tour of historic Washington Street. Washington Street was a thriving business and entertainment district for High Point's black community during the period of segregation. The tour, lasting approximately 90 minutes. NC Tattoo History

North Carolina Tattoo History

C.W. Eldridge of the Tattoo Archive will present North Carolina Tattoo History. This presentation will feature photographs, flash, and business cards from North Carolina tattooists from the past. Sponsored by the Heritage Research Center.
