What chemicals are added to the water?
-Aluminum Sulfate is used for coagulation.
-Corrosion Inhibitor is added to protect pipes and keep Lead and copper from leaching into the water.
-Fluoride is added to assist with prevention of tooth decay.
-Sodium Hydroxide is used for pH control.

What is in my water?

Is my water hard or soft?
High Point's water is soft and does not need to be softened. Please call 336-883-3111 for more information.

Why does my water smell bad and who can I call?
If you live in an area where there is low water use such as a cul-de-sac. Water becomes stale and needs to be flushed. Call Customer Service at 336-883-3111 to report water complaints.
5.
Why is my water rusty or cloudy and who can I call?
This may be caused by either a main break or heavy flushing by the Fire Department. Call Customer Services at 336-883-3111 to report this problem.

How can I get my water tested?

7.
What is the black or pick ring around my tub or toilet?
There are 2 types of mold that are airborne. They are not in your water. Clean with a bleach solution. Please call 336-883-3111 for more information.
